A former president, the Peronist Eduardo Duhalde launched another bid for the presidency today, the first Peronist to do so. While the current president created a security ministry last week in order to deal with the diverse problems Argentina is currently facing, Duhalde aims to bring back peace and social justice, picking up where he left off in 2003.

Senate honours former Herald editor Bob Cox
Former Buenos Aires Herald editor Robert Cox was awarded the Commemorative Medal of the Bicentenary of the May Revolution 1810-2010 by Congress for his courageous and unconditional commitment to democracy and human rights during the last military dictatorship. It was an honour to meet him in person finally.
