Sipping Colchagua Valley

Although Chile’s Colchagua Valley took an intense hit at the hands of the powerful 2010 earthquake, the wine region’s bodegas have more than overcome the storm in the intervening years.

This southern hemisphere powerhouse, 180 km south of capital Santiago, consistently produces outstanding Cabernet Sauvignon, Carménère and Syrahs as well as much-lauded Malbecs. This fertile valley is on the up, featuring state-of-the art wineries, top restaurants, stylish boutique hotels and even a polo club, all within the shadow of the Andes.
