About Sorrel

Sorrel

A British journalist based in Buenos Aires, I first visited Argentina as a year-abroad student in 1998. I since moved here in 2006… so I’m fluent in Spanish, a legal resident and here for the long term…

By day, I cover economy and local politics for the Buenos Aires Herald. In May and June 2011, I wrote and updated the nightlife and shopping chapters for Fodor’s Buenos Aires guide book (2012). I´ve also written a guide to Britain in Spanish for an Argentine publisher, and have just completed fact checking the Buenos Aires and Patagonia chapters for Eyewitness Argentina (2012). Recently back from a November 2011 trip to north-west Argentina, I am currently writing up the Salta and Jujuy chapter for Fodor’s Argentina guide book.

I also contribute to The Real Argentina, Wallpaper*, Time Out, Screen International and ON Mag (in Spanish).

  1. Hola Sorrel,

    Great website and content!

We are American expats living in Mendoza and thinking of moving to BsAs soon… Can’t wait to try out the big city .

Any suggestions for the best area of BsAs to live?

    Muchas Gracias
